When not programming or administering Blue World's Dreamweaver-Talk list, he spends time with his wife, Joelle, and five children, Margot, Dina, Henry, Jack, and Joshua; composes and records musicproducing soundtracks for movies and short films ; and studies Karate. He is hoping to earn his brown belt by the time this book goes to print.

Chris S. Flick , while attending Radford University in southern Virginia, always knew that he wanted to find some way to combine his illustrative skills and his passion for traditional design. This was something he continued to strive for after graduating in 1991, when he immediately began working as a newspaper production artist and a sometime editorial illustrator. From there, Chris moved on to become a graphic designer for a prominent advertising firm in Rockville, Maryland. It was there that Chris discovered his love for the web and immediately recognized it as being the perfect medium to combine his design and illustration passions . Not long after that, Chris gave up the print realm entirely and became the art director and head of web development at a prominent consulting firm in McLean, Virginia, where he has been since 1999.
