Affected Languages

Information disclosure is a language-independent problem, although with accidental leakage, many newer high-level languages can exacerbate the problem by providing verbose error messages that might be helpful to an attacker. Ultimately, however, most of the problem is wrapped up in the trade-off you make between giving the user helpful information about errors, and preventing attackers from learning about the internal details of your system.
