Password problems are authentication problems, which we detail in Sins 10, 15, and 17. Plus, a lot of these password problems can be alleviated by doing better network protection (Sin 8). In particular, if you can properly use a scheme to authenticate the server and encrypt the channel (such as with SSL or TLS, as described in Sin 10), then the network- based risks against password systems go down.
