Acknowledgments

Putting together a book like this is truly a group effort and thanks must be extended to the entire Premier Press team. In particluar I would like to point out the efforts of Amy Lepore for making up for my lack of spelling and grammar skills and Lisa Bucki for technically editing the book. Thanks also go to Sally Boylan, Stacy Hiquet, and Kevin Harreld for help in bringing this book together.

Who I am today is a result of the upbringing by my parents, Ricky and Victor, and the relationships with my brothers, Oren, Leor, and Ron. I thank them for the giant contribution they have made to my life. Thanks also to my wife Kara for her constant love and devotion and to the rest of my friends and family for the wonderful dynamic they add.

About the Author

Eric Grebler is an IT professional, author, and certified trainer who has demystified the world of computers for thousands of people. Originally from Ottawa, he currently resides in Toronto, Canada. Eric has developed curriculum and resource material on a wide range of technical topics, including desktop publishing, audio sequencing, graphics, XML, and operating systems.

When he's not writing books, Eric moonlights as a general contractor whose attention to detail is matched by no other. His natural talent for carpentry first appeared when he started making stereo boxes, and it continues to this day as he specializes in curved walls, warped wood, and uneven drywall. Eric takes great pride in rarely having used any of his father's best wood.
