Chapter 12. Control Enhancements

Throughout this book you've seen many examples of the great new features of ASP.NET 2.0, including some of the new server controls. In this chapter we are going to focus on server controls, looking at new controls as well as enhancements to existing controls. Some controls, such as the new data controls, have been covered elsewhere so we won't repeat that coverage.

We're also going to look at services that support the controls, such as the Image Generation Service and the Site Counters Service. The former of these can be accessed directly as well as through a server control, and the latter is exposed as an API as well as through properties on server controls.
