Selecting Notes

In order to edit MIDI notes, you must first select them. Digital Performer provides you with a variety of different ways to select notes.

Selecting an Individual Note

To select individual notes, you simply have to click on the desired note and it will be selected.

NOTE

You can click on any blank area of the window to deselect all notes.

Selecting Multiple Notes

Digital Performer provides you with two techniques to select multiple MIDI notes.

Shift Selecting

The Shift Select method is useful when you want to select a variety of individual notes that are non-contiguous.

Clicking and Dragging

Clicking and dragging is the fastest way to select multiple notes. You can combine the Shift Select method with clicking and dragging to select groups of notes that are non-contiguous.
