Assigning a Printer to a User

With the proper combination of parameter values, you can set up your users in such a way that all their printed output goes to a specific printer, no matter where they have signed on.

The proper combination is one of the following (xxx is the name of the desired printer):

• OUTQ(*DEV) PRTDEV(XXX) in the job description.

• OUTQ(*USRPRF) in the job description, and OUTQ(*DEV) PRTDEV(XXX) in the user profile.
