Summary

This chapter covered the installation and use of CruiseControl, and the various facilities it provides. While not intended to be a complete reference, this introduction should be sufficient for you to be able to see what CruiseControl can provide for you and how to go about using it.

This chapter demonstrated how you can take an existing Ant project and turn it into a regularly occurring automated build, providing the developers on the project with a safety net that will support them in their use of continuous integration. Armed with this information, you should be able to install CruiseControl in your own organization.

Finally, we've given some suggestions on how you can gain the most out of regular automated builds. The rest is up to you.
