The Basic Configuration

Documentation

The default installation includes documentation on the server as well as numerous example programs using servlets, JSP, XTP, and beans. From the home page of the installation site, the documentation consists of:

• FAQ—This links brings up a page with high-level categories of questions and answers. The categories are:

  • Installation

  • SSL

  • Class Loader

  • Configuration

  • JSP/Servlet

  • Debugging

  • Misc

• Reference Guide—This link maps to a fairly comprehensive set of pages discussing reference topics like configuration, JSP, and XTP.

• JavaDoc—This link looks at the various classes within the Resin server from the JavaDoc perspective.

• Demo—This link displays the various example programs as mentioned in the discussion about the directory structure in the section "Testing the Installation." Examples are available using servlets, JSP, XTP, and JSP/XTP templates.

• Tutorial—This link provides additional information about using Resin and programming in JSP and Java.
