After you have installed Eclipse, download the latest Improve Resin Plugin for Eclipse from www.improve-technologies.com/alpha/resin/. Place the downloaded JAR file into a directory called /fr.improve.eclipse.resin_0.5.2. This directory should be placed within the /plugins directory of the Eclipse installation. In many cases, the full directory structure will be:
c:/eclipse/plugins/fr.improve.eclipse.resin_0.5.2
After the jar is saved in the new directory, use the following command to extract its contents:
jar -xf fr.improve.eclipse.resin_0.5.2.jar
There is one more step in the installation process: launch the Eclipse IDE and select Window and Preferences. A dialog will open with various options listed on the left part of the screen as shown in Figure C.1.
Figure C.1: Preferences dialog.
Select the Resin option form the list; a dialog box with two edit lines will be displayed. On the first line, labeled Home directory, enter the root directory of the Resin installation that Eclipse and the Improve Resin Plugin for Eclipse should use. On the second line, labeled Java compiler, enter the location of the Java compiler you want Eclipse to use. If you don't supply a compiler, the IDE will use the installed JDK. Click on OK to save the preferences.
