The Primary DNS suffix is the DNS domain of which this computer determines itself to be a member. It should match the DNS domain that this server's Address (A) record is in. Here's how to change the primary DNS suffix:
Open the system Control Panel by choosing Start | Control Panel | System.
Click the Computer Name tab.
Click the Change button.
Click More.
Enter the primary DNS suffix in the text box, as shown in Figure 8-9, and then click OK.
