Printing through Infrared

Printing wirelessly could mean one less cord to carry around and connect, no small matter if you often travel with your laptop. To print using infrared, you need:

• An infrared port on your computer.

• A built-in infrared port on your printer.

Hewlett Packard sells some inkjet printers that include infrared ports. However, since most printers do not have them, you can also buy an add-on infrared port for your computer, such as those sold by Extended Systems, for about $40.
