You now have successfully completed the lab objectives for this chapter. You have learned how to control the router boot sequence and have configured R1 to boot from TFTP and then Flash. You have seen how to manage Cisco IOS Software images and configuration files, and you have used a TFTP server to back up as well as upgrade Cisco IOS Software images and configuration files within your network. Table 16-1 is a command summary, reviewing the commands used throughout the chapter.

Table 16-1. Chapter Command Summary
Command Purpose
boot system tftp Specifies that the router should load the system image from a TFTP server at startup
boot system flash Specifies that the router should load the system image from Flash at startup
Reload Reloads the Cisco IOS Software
show flash Displays any files currently in Flash memory and shows the amounts of Flash memory used and remaining
show version Displays the names and sources of configuration files and the boot images
copy flash tftp Copies a Cisco IOS Software image from Flash to a TFTP server
copy tftp flash Copies a Cisco IOS Software image from a TFTP server to Flash
copy running-config tftp Copies the running config to a TFTP server
copy tftp startup-config Copies a configuration file from a TFTP server to the startup config
