Route redistribution is a very popular way of exchanging routing information between two disparate routing protocols. Many organizations use route redistribution, so an introduction to this concept seemed prudent. This chapter might not give you direct help in passing the CCNA exam, but it will make you a better internetworking professional and a more capable network engineer.
