Flash can import and export sound files. It supports three main import sound formats: WAV, AIFF, and MP3. Whenever you download sounds from a Web site, you have the option of which file format you would like to download. Whenever you publish or export a Flash document, Flash compresses all files, by default, into an MP3 sound file format.

TIP

As a general rule, always import your sounds uncompressed for the best sound quality you can get. Let Flash do the compressing for you. There's nothing worse than a sound file that's been compressed twice.
