Mapping the Controls Teaching Reason

[ LiB ]

Now you're ready to teach a device's parameter which MIDI controller commands to respond to. Since I don't know what controller you're working with or the type of controls you have available, for this example I will use the keys on your keyboard to control the Enable/Disable button of the EQ section on the RV7000 Advanced Reverb.

To learn how to remotely control the EQ of the RV7000, you'll need to load the device.

Next you will map a key from your MIDI controller to turn on/ off the RV7000's EQ.

NOTE

Each key or controller knob on your MIDI controller can be mapped to only one parameter at a time. If you try to map the same key to a parameter twice, the first map will be overwritten.

NOTE

Here you used the keys of your MIDI controller to control only the on/off of the RV7000's EQ. Some MIDI controllers are equipped with controller knobs and/or faders that are perfect for controlling a Reason device's rotary knobs or faders .
