When you install Reason, of course the program is installed on your computer, but in addition, as mentioned above, there are two CDs full of sounds and samples for use in Reason. During the setup you have the option of installing these files. They are large files and may require gigabytes of hard disk space; however, most reasonably current computers will have adequate storage space for them.
After placing Disc One into your CD drive, AutoPlay will take over and the setup will begin automatically. Follow the setup, which is very straightforward. If your computer has the AutoPlay feature disabled, you will need to run the installer manually.
After placing the CD into your CD drive:
NOTE
Reason is compatible with both Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. When installing, be careful to choose the appropriate install icon for your operating system.
Before you can set up Reason to work its best with your computer, you need to launch the program.
NOTE
If you're a Mac OS X user , you may want to drag the Reason icon from the Reason folder to the Dock, where you can quickly launch the program in the future without having to navigate through the Finder each time.
