Specifying the Unit of Measurement

You need to do this per application. Choose Tools > Options > application > General and select the measurement unit you want.

Setting Default Zoom View for Documents

When you create a new document, the blank starting page (whether it's a text document, a spreadsheet, or a slideshow presentation), opens in a standard zoom view, or scale. If you want new document pages to appear larger or smaller in the work area, change the default scaling percentage.

1. Select Tools > Options > General > View.

2. In the View window, change the percentage in the Scaling field.

3. Click OK.
