Printing a Drawing

"-->

You can print the whole document, selected slides, or selected objects within a slide to a printer or file. For more information about printing to files, refer to Considerations for Printing to PostScript or PDF on page 77.

Follow these steps if you want to specify particular options, or use the Print File Directly icon on the Draw toolbar, which uses the options and printer last selected.

  1. To print selected objects within a document, select them now.

  2. Choose File > Print.

  3. Select a printer, or select the Print to file option and enter a file name. To print to a PostScript file, enter a name with a . ps extension.

  4. Click Options and select the appropriate print options (see Figure 32-1). Click OK.

  5. Select what to print: All (the entire document), Range (a range of slides), or Selection (the currently selected text or graphics). Use dashes to form ranges, and use commas or semicolons to separate pages or ranges (1, 3, 4, 6-10).

  6. Enter the number of copies and, if it's two or more, choose whether to collate .

  7. Click Print.

Note

If you have problems printing, check to be sure the margins and orientation are set correctly. (Choose Format > Page and select the Page tab; see Figure 32-3.) You might be printing within margins that aren't actually on the page. In addition, make sure you've selected the right paper format, such as Letter. Sometimes it helps to just restart.
