Keeping Specific Cells From Printing

Calc lets you prevent the contents of certain cells from printing. This feature is useful if you want to print spreadsheets for general distribution, but you want to suppress sensitive information such as payroll or personnel information.

1. Select the cells containing the values you don't want to print.

2. Right-click one of the selected cells and choose Format Cells.

3. In the Cell Attributes window, select Cell Protection tab.

4. Select the Hide when printing option.

5. Click OK. You can also keep entire rows and columns from printing by hiding them. See Hiding Rows and Columns on page 537.
