Using Navigator to Move Within and Between Documents

Navigator is a tool used throughout the program. In Calc, Navigator serves two main purposes:

  • Navigator lets you locate and jump to different parts of your document quickly

  • Navigator lets you drag and drop hyperlinked references from one part of a document into another part, or from one document to another.

Launching Navigator

Press the F5 key to open and close the Navigator window, or choose Edit > Navigator.

Navigating and Inserting

The Navigator window, shown in Figure 18-30, displays all the parts of your document: sheets, named areas, inserted objects, and so on. These different parts are displayed in a hierarchical tree view that lets you expand and contract groups of things. You can also customize the way Navigator displays its contents.
