PostNuke is a powerful tool for content management, and it is specifically designed to separate the layout and design of your site from the text content itself. However, at times, the use of static Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML) development is needed. Perhaps it is faster to develop some content outside of PostNuke, or your content already exists. You might need a standalone application but want to manage it with PostNuke's security and user system. Regardless of your content needs, you do not have to sacrifice the PostNuke infrastructure by linking to completely external files. You can integrate your PostNuke content with your static files in creative ways. Chapter 12, "Enhanced Article Modules," covered the Pagesetter and Content Express modules, which both provide methods of using XHTML to develop page content.
