The InfoCatalog

Team-Fly

The InfoCatalog is a repository of all reports and solutions. Here you implement your information delivery model; you organize data objects and their consumers, the end users. You define Channels (in SAP BW 1.2B) or Activity Groups (in SAP BW 2.0), assign specific reports to Channels/Activity Groups, and finally assign users to specific Channels/Activity Groups. This top layer is the Enterprise catalog that contains all queries and reports. When a user signs on to the SAP BEX Browser, based on a user profile, all reports defined in the Channel/Activity Group are made available to the user. Figures 11-21 through 11-24 show how the InfoCatalog is used to publish reports.
