The book you hold in your hands is the culmination of months of hard work and a passionate desire to create a high-quality , informative text on ASP.NET application performance. Like all major projects, it would not have been possible without the support and hard work of a great many people. First and foremost I would like to thank the team at Apress: Dan Appleman, Gary Cornell, Sofia Marchant, Kari Brooks, Kim Wimpsett, Grace Wong, Doris Wong, Beth Christmas, and all of the editorial and production staff who worked on this book. I would also like to thank my coauthor, Kenneth Tu, for his dedication and hours of hard work during what was a very challenging year. ”Jeffrey Hasan

First, I would like to acknowledge the work of Microsoft in creating this fantastic new .NET Framework.

More specifically , I am grateful to Jeffrey Hasan for inviting me to participate in this project and for his guidance and patience throughout the project.

I would also like to thank my family and friends, who made it a point to keep me up-to-date on the many experiences I missed during the lifecycle of this project.

Thanks to the musicians from the Dave Matthews Band, U2, and Radiohead, whose music was greatly appreciated during the time I spent writing and rewriting the material for this book.

And, finally, I want to acknowledge my wife, Yovy. We have shared seven years , and although there have been some bad times, I wouldn't trade them for the world.

”Kenneth Tu
