B.6. Where to Learn More

There's not a lot of documentation out there about Firefox's options. Your only real source of info at this time is the official Firefox web site, which provides an overview of the Options window.

For more on proxies, see Wikipedia's article (noted later in this section).

If you're interested in learning more about passwords, I wrote a column for SecurityFocus titled "Pass the Chocolate" that gives some tips for choosing a good password.

Wikipedia has a good piece that explains what cookies are, or you can read "The Unofficial Cookie FAQ," which, though old, is still good.

For more on JavaScript, see Wikipedia's article on the subject, which gets pretty technical in several places. The first section explains the differences between JavaScript, Java, and JScript.
