Like much of Outlook, the Calendar is largely graphical. But you can work in it effectively if you know the right keyboard shortcuts for navigation. The following sections present the shortcuts for general navigation in the Calendar, for navigating in Day view, Week view, and Month view, and for navigating in the Date Navigator.

This shortcut works only in Day view or Work Week view. In Week view, pressing
[Home] selects the first day in the week.
You can specify the starting and ending times of the work day, and the days of the work week, in the Calendar Options dialog box. To display the Calendar Options dialog box, choose Tools Options, and then click the Calendar Options button on the Preferences tab of the Options dialog box.

You can use the following shortcuts to navigate in Month view in the Outlook Calendar. You ll notice that the Month view shortcuts have some overlap with Week view shortcuts.

Press this shortcut to move the selection to the first day of the active week in the month. For example, if Wednesday the 21st is selected, pressing this shortcut moves the selection to Monday the 19th.

Press this shortcut to move the selection to the last day of the active week in the month.
