Summary


This chapter sets up some of the infrastructure required when writing a game. Here I have shown you the first several states in the game loop. We are able to display splash screens and the option screen so that players can see what they are about to play and select any required options before starting the game itself. The remainder of the book will be oriented towards the game engine components used in actual game play.
