System Requirements

Before beginning to use Apple Training Series: iWork '06 with iLife '06, you should have a working knowledge of your computer and its operating system. Make sure that you know how to use the mouse and the standard menus and commands and also how to open, save, and close files. If you need to review these techniques, see the printed or online documentation included with your system.

Basic system requirements for iWork '06 are as follows:

• Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or 10.4.3 or later

• Macintosh computer with a 500MHz or faster PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, or Intel Core processor

• 256 MB of RAM (512 MB recommended)

• 32 MB of video RAM

• QuickTime 7.0.3 or later

• DVD drive (required for installation)

• iLife '06 (recommended)

Basic system requirements for iLife '06 are as follows:

• Mac OS X version 10.3.9 or 10.4.3 or later (10.4.4 recommended)

• Macintosh computer with a PowerPC G4, PowerPC G5, or Intel Core processor, 733MHz or faster for iDVD

• 256 MB of RAM (512 MB recommended)

• iTunes 6.0.2 and QuickTime 7.0.4 (included)

• DVD drive (required for installation)

• 10 GB of available disk space

• High-definition video requires a 1GHz G4 or faster processor and 512 MB of RAM

• Burning DVDs requires an Apple SuperDrive or compatible third-party DVD burner
