Customizing Colors


You can customize the colors in your documentto match the corporate colors of a company, to use colors associated with a season or event, or just to create a better design. Changing colors is easy using the Colors window.

1.

Select the small photo on page 1 and choose Arrange > Send to Back.

You're going to change the color of the red rectangle, and moving the masked photo to the back makes the rectangle easier to access.

2.

Select the large red rectangle.

3.

Click the Colors button in the toolbar to open the Colors window.

4.

Click the magnifying glass icon in the Colors window; then click the blue ball in the main photo.

The sampled color is loaded in the Colors window.

5.

Click the sampled color strip and drag a small swatch of color into the red rectangle to change its color.

The rectangle now matches the blue of the ball. Next, you're going to change the color of the newsletter title and main headline to match another color in the same photo.

6.

Send the blue rectangle to the back of your document by choosing Arrange > Send to Back.

7.

Triple-click the newsletter title text to select it.

8.

Click the magnifying glass icon in the Colors window; then click the green shirt in the main photo.

The text changes color to match.

9.

Triple-click the headline text to select it.

10.

Click the magnifying glass icon in the Colors window; then click the green shirt.

The text changes color to match.

The first page is now complete and has been fully customized for your project.

11.

Save your document.
