Summary

Despite its size and its limited natural resources, Israel has developed a strong economy through education, research, entrepreneurship and technology. Although the strength of Israel's military is a double-edged sword for its society, the defense industry has been a key factor in the fast-paced growth and success of high tech in this country. The Israeli government's support of technology incubators through the universities and the fluid flow of resources between the military and industry bode well for the continued growth of the high-tech industry in Israel.
