The Premium Edition of Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 includes Microsoft SQL Server 2000. SQL Server 2000 is a set of components, based around a relational database, that work together to meet the data storage and analysis needs of some of the largest Web sites and enterprise data-processing systems and can equally well meet the day-to-day business needs of the small business.
In this chapter, we will not pretend to tell you everything you need to know about SQL Server 2000—frankly, that’s the subject of many books already out there and beyond the scope of what we can do in this book. But what we will do is give you a quick overview of some of the features of SQL Server 2000.
More Info | Installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 from the Premium Technologies CD is covered in Appendix B, “Installing ISA Server 2000 and SQL Server 2000.” |
