Microsoft offers a free package of services, tools, and programs for integrating computers using Windows with network servers that use Unix or Linux, and for using Unix commands and programs on a Windows system. Look for more information at the Windows Services for Unix (SFU) home page at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/interopmigration/unix/sfu/default.mspx.
SFU includes a C shell, a Korn shell, and a telnet client that all present the same appearance as the same shells in a computer running Unix.
Note | Microsoft states that Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 doesn't install on Windows 9x or Windows XP Home Edition. |
