Summary

In this chapter, we've looked at how to gain an understanding of the activities a proposed system is intended to support. This can be done by performing work process analysis of various degrees of formality, by the creation of user scenarios, or by a combination of both. In Chapter 9, we'll look at the design of the conceptual data model: the logical description of how data will be created, structured, and utilized by the system.
