Summary

This appendix s goals were as follows :

• To discuss the Visual C# (pronounced "C sharp") .NET language

• To cover the Visual J# (pronounced "J sharp") .NET language

In this appendix, I covered both the C# and J# languages. During the dis cussion, I pointed out both the similarities and the differences between the languages. I presented sample applications to help demonstrate the syntax of each "sharp" language. Additionally, I made significant points regarding the rela tionship between these two languages (C# and J#) and the Java language. This appendix should serve as a good introduction, a primer, to the .NET "sharp" languages.
