This chapter's goals were as follows :
To discuss user interface design considerations
To explore Windows application and Windows Service development
To understand ASP.NET and XML Web services technology
Are you ready to create Windows and Web applications now? I trust that the topics presented in this chapter have been helpful toward that goal. You were introduced to a few user interface design considerations that apply to both Windows and Web development. Various VS .NET project templates were introduced in this chapter as well. It is likely that you now have a better picture of the types of Windows and ASP.NET applications that are possible with .NET and VS .NET. Additionally, you may have a better perspective of the .NET Framework support available for Windows and ASP.NET development.
In the next chapter you will revisit Windows and ASP.NET development. You will spend more time focusing on ways to use the various types of controls and other .NET Framework classes to add value to your Windows and ASP.NET applications.
