Use Open Directory's Archive and Restore features on Mac OS X Server to back up and restore an Open Directory server

Secure Open Directory connections between Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server

Using Open Directory services on Mac OS X Server enables system administrators to easily provide directory services. In previous lessons, you learned to connect Mac OS X computers as clients of a Mac OS X server, an Active Directory domain, and third-party directory services. Now you'll find out how to configure Mac OS X Server to be that directory service by hosting a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory domain, importing and managing the directory data on the server, and tuning the server for performance and security.
