Scripting with ISA Server can help you monitor and manage almost any visible component in the ISA Server Management console. Scripting can perform day-to-day administration of ISA Server normally done through the ISA Server Management console. For example, you can use a script to add all servers from Active Directory directory service as a computer rule element in ISA Server.
This chapter guides you through the steps required to create scripts and thereby gives you an introduction to scripting tasks in ISA Server 2004.
Caution | These scripts were created for an ISA Server 2004 Standard Edition environment and may not work on ISA Server 2004 Enterprise Edition. This chapter is designed to introduce you the the tools and concepts necessary to help you create basic scripts for the most widely distributed version of ISA Server. For more information, see the "Additional Resources" appendix. |
