It Works Like This

Check out the Ch4_Finished_Movie.mov file on the DVD to see the text effects you'll create in this chapter. You'll animate the text onto the screen with a blurred motion, revealing one section at a time with light bursts. Here are the project's basic steps:

1. Create a background blur for the title.

2. Divide the title into sections by using masks, and then animate each mask's opacity.

3. Use the Lens Flare effect on a solid to create flashes that reveal each section of the title.

4. Create "comets" by animating a masked and feathered solid.
