In this chapter, you learned how to enable properties in your packages to be dynamically configured at run time without opening and editing each package. You learned how to use data link connection objects, an initialization file, global variables , and Dynamic Properties tasks to dynamically control the execution of tasks and the configuration of connection objects at run time. Furthermore, you learned two methods for setting global variable values in a subpackage from a master package. In the next chapter you will learn how to use an ActiveX Script task to set global variable values in the packages in the data movement application.
