The Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution from Microsoft builds on the strengths of Microsoft Project 98 and 2000. Whereas the first two were desktop applications, designed to fulfill the needs of project managers to plan and manage their projects, Project 2002 and subsequently Project 2003 raise the bar and provide the project management community with an enterprise solution. Microsoft Office Project 2003 now has three major components: Project Professional 2003, Project Web Access 2003, and Project Server 2003.
