Syntax: Sin ( number )

Parameters: number ”any number or numeric expression representing the size of an angle measured in radians.

Description: Returns the sine of the specified angle. Sine is a periodic function that has a range from -1 to 1.

Examples:

 

 Sin ( 0 ) 

Returns .

 

 Sin ( Pi / 2) 

Returns 1 .

 

 Sin ( Radians (-30)) 

Returns -.5 .

Comments: In any right triangle, the sine of the two non-right angles can be obtained by dividing the length of the side opposite the angle by the length of the hypotenuse .
