It's hard to comprehend that with each successor of Internet Information Services (IIS) has come a vast improvement over previous versions of IIS. IIS 6 is no different. It has been reconstructed to increase security safeguards, improve administration and manageability, and incorporate features for the .NET initiative set forth by Microsoft. Improving upon previous versions and providing the most robust and secure Web services environment have been among the most daunting tasks Microsoft has faced with IIS. However, Microsoft has learned from its own experiences and customers what improvements need to be made. Microsoft has literally gone through each line of IIS code and made appropriate changes to make IIS as secure and robust as possible. |
