The VS-1680 allows you to record a true digital source through its digital inputs. This source can be a CD player, DAT machine, another VS recorder, or any other digital source. You have the choice of using the coaxial or optical inputs. There are basically three steps to using the digital inputs:

You may now record the digital source to track 1 by pressing REC and PLAY. Many SP/DIF digital sources are two channels of digital audio, a left and right or stereo signal. Linked tracks will record both of the incoming digital signals in stereo. |
