Channel Edit Screen

 <  Day Day Up  >

The channel edit screen will be your best friend when it comes time to mix your song. Roland put all the basic tools for mixing your tracks on this screen. Since you have two mixers in your VS-1680 (Input and Track), you also have two edit screens per channel. One is for the Input Mixer and the other is for the Track Mixer. When you are mixing your recorded tracks, you will want to use the channel edit screen for the Track Mixer. There will be times when you will use the channel edit screen on the Input Mixer, too (for example, if you are mixing not yet recorded MIDI tracks along with your recorded audio tracks). Use the Input Mixer's channel edit screen to control and edit the incoming virtual MIDI tracks.

The parameters that can be edited on the channel edit screen are:

  • EQ

  • Volume Level

  • ATT (Attenuation)

  • Phase

  • Effects Inserts (Send and Return Levels)

  • Effects Loop (Send Levels)

  • Effects Pan

  • Channel Pan

  • Aux Send Levels

  • Virtual Tracks (Track Mixer)

  • Channel Link

  • Group

  • Solo

  • Mute

Putting all these parameters on one screen makes mixing your tracks a breeze .
