First, let's open the 9-1 Frances start project, located in the Lesson_09 folder.
What do you think of the new Movie layer with the Frances Movie object inside? As you can see, I've done a little baking since you last worked with this project. What did I bake? A fresh, new QuickTime file of the finished project. Notice that all of the other layers in the project have been turned off. Why? Because now that you've finished the visual portion of this project, there's no sense making the computer calculate all of those layers, objects, and effects parameters if it doesn't need to. The process of exporting a finished portion of a project as a movie file and then bringing it back into a project is often referred to as bakingjust like baking in a kitchen. Once you have all of the ingredients mixed together properly, you bake the dish. You then combine all of the baked dishes to create the final meal. You'll learn more about exporting files in Lesson 11. For now, just be aware that you're watching the finished QuickTime movie file in the Canvas rather than all of the individual layers, objects, and effects. |
