preview your transition

Now preview your transition to be sure it works the way you want it to.

Click the Play button (or press the space bar on your keyboard) to start the preview.

Premiere Elements plays through the transition and beyond to subsequent clips.

Most computers can play the Cross Dissolve transition at full frame rate without first rendering. If yours can't, or if you applied a more complicated effect that doesn't play smoothly, see Render Your Transition, later.
