Cases and covers

Cases and covers

No case can protect your handheld against every accident , but a case can greatly reduce the odds of scratches and other damage. Some cases have storage pouches for expansion cards, stylus replacements , and other stuff. If it's style you want, go to www.palmOne.com/persona and visit the line of specialty cases from Vaja.

Case and cover tips

  • Two Graffiti 2 stickers were included with your handheld. Stick them inside your case for quick reference.

  • Keep losing your stylus? Buy a pack of extras at www.palmOne.com/store and tuck them in your case.

  • Ultra-thin transparent screen protectors reduce glare and protect against scratches. They work best if you change them about once a month.

  • Make sure the case isn't too small for your handheld. Check the specs on the package for compatibility with your model.

  • Look for explicit mention of the Tungsten E handheld in the case description.

  • Want color ? palmOne persona cases come in a variety of colors.

What to look for in a case

Protection

A case that covers the screen is essential, but the rest of the handheld is also worth protecting. A hard case can protect the handheld from inevitable drops .

Storage

Many cases can store expansion cards, accessories, and a few personal items. Consider spending a few bucks more for a case that can replace your wallet.

Access

Cases that open and close with one hand are especially convenient . Also consider access to the sides and top of the handheld for headphones, power cords, and cables.

Expansion cards

Once you discover that you can carry MP3 files, software, lots of photos, audio books, videos , and even complete movies on your handheld, an expansion card becomes a necessity. Buy a high-capacity card to hold everything (at least for a while), or a few smaller ones if you want to keep different categories of things separate. Keep the dummy card in a safe place and use it when a card is not present.

Expansion card tips

  • Buy a case that includes expansion card storage slots.

  • Expansion cards are hot-swappable, which means you can eject or insert new cards any time the card is not in use.

  • SD expansion cards have a small locking tab on the side. Move it down to lock the card, preventing any changes.
