Infrared ("Beaming" sync)

Wireless, but slower and uses more battery power than USB.

You must activate your computer's IR port (if it has one).

Bluetooth® technology

Like an infrared sync, but can be performed over a longer distance.

Convenient, but requires a Bluetooth adapter for the Tungsten E.

Modem

Syncs between two modems.

Requires more setup.

LAN

Syncs with corporate data via modem or Internet. For Windows only.

Should be done with the aid of your network administrator.

Chapter 8: Did you discover how to...

Make your handheld's Calendar reflect the meeting invitations you created last night in Outlook?… Find a fitness training app online, and install it?… Immediately undermine that app by installing an addictive game?… Figure out why a sync isn't working?
