Acknowledgments

There are always so many people to thank on any significant project like this one that it is difficult to cover everyone involved without the fear of missing an important cog. Rest assured that all the hundreds of individuals directly or indirectly involved in the project all deserve a portion of the recognition for its completion.

First off I must thank my wife, Joy, and children, Danny, Max, and Chelsea. As always, my family are the most deeply impacted when I decide to take on yet another of my "projects." The many hours that I spent typing away in the office were voluntarily given up by the people closest to me.

Next I would like to thank the editors. Randy Cornish, whom I have had the pleasure of working with on other projects, came through as expected. Randy, you have an eye for detail and you are as always the perfect technician. Cheri Clark proved to be an individual who performed above and beyond within the scope of her work. Cheri came through and managed to polish some of my most uncoordinated grammar.

I would also like to thank the individuals I work with day-to-day at Diamond Software. Each has provided indirectly to this manuscript. Those to whom I have dedicated this book and the others I work with every day make my life so much more rich and enjoyable. I truly look forward to going to work every day. Although R.B. I must admit I like to leave the place to go home too. :)

Finally, to the rest of the Que team. From the top down, the organization is professional, polished, and respected. I would like to thank Jeff Riley, the acquisitions editor, for coming up with the project in the first place. How many projects are good enough to have two development editors? Steve Rowe and Mark Renfrow were both a real pleasure to work with through the duration of the project, and Dan Knott, the project editor, really pulled things together and ensured that all the bases were covered.

It was fun, ladies and gentlemen; perhaps we should all do it again sometime?
