Chapter 10 -- Active Directory Administration Using Windows Script

Chapter 10

Active Directory Administration Using Windows Script

In developing programs for Active Directory, you'll often work with common directory objects such as users, groups, computers, and printers. Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) makes your work easier by supplying interfaces designed specifically for the type of object you want to work with. The Windows scripting environment makes a network administrator's life easier by providing access to Active Directory through ADSI using relatively simple programming languages. This chapter contains a lot of sample source code, mostly in small functions, that illustrates how to perform a specific task. You can copy and modify this code to use as part of your own administration toolkit.
